2006-03-12 Leap Electronic Products RoHS Announcement Leap has announced that the Handy type series to meet RoHS (The Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standard. The RoHS directive affects manufacturers, sellers, distributors and recyclers of electrical and electronic equipment containing lead, cadmium, mercury, hexavalent chrome, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) and these are included the law of the European Union (E.U.). Leap started paying attention on this issue, so we have demanded how to meet the RoHS specifications to our material distributors in Q4 of 2004. By July 2007, we will keep continuing to make our products into the RoHS standard for environmental protection. In the future, our RoHS products will be stamped “RoHS” mark on the rear panel for the convenient identification.
